Facts:

The countries included in the project were: Poland ? In which the journey began in November 2012- Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Turkey, England, and Portugal. Comenius was designed to help with the elimination of prejudice, for the experience of living in another country with different people, and for the acceptation of other customs.

Opinions about Comenius:

The project united people from different countries in order to share this experience and to learn about other traditions and ways of living. Comenius gave its participants a once in a lifetime chance to bond and make friends with new people that otherwise they would never have gotten to know.

In general, everyone loved the people, food, families, and the sites, even the workshops since they learned to work together while developing their friendships. Some students didn?t like the food, or the evening activities. Although there were a few things that the students disliked, the project was an amazing chance to visit beautiful places and meet wonderful people.

Pros and Cons of Comenius:

Pros: 

• It helped the pupils improve their English skills
• It helped them socialize with each other
• They learned about other countries in a fun and interesting way 

Cons:

• There were some food and activities they didn?t like
• The journeys were too short
• They got attached to each other and had to be separated quite soon 

Impressions about Italy: 

The final meeting of Comenius was in Crotone, a beautiful city with a charming history. The participants loved the language, the culture and the personalities of the amazing people they met. However, the trip there was tiring and uneventful because of the hours spent in the airport and on the plane. Nevertheless, it was worth being able to spend those days in such a special place.

Final words about the program:

This project opened everybody?s minds to a new world that they didn?t know before, and taught them to appreciate the differences between them and other people. It also gave the students a chance to be independent since they were without parents in a new place. They all thoroughly enjoyed this journey, and wished it wouldn?t end, but there is still the hope that they will meet them again in the future and be able to have as much fun as they did these past 2 years.

The students would like to give special thanks to all the countries that took part, to the teachers that made it possible, and especially to all the pupils that worked so hard and made it such an incredible and unforgettable journey.
